What kind of equipment can Soralink monitor?
Soralink installs on any rotating equipment — motors, pumps, compressors, fans, gearboxes, extruders, centrifuges, and more. Equipped with wireless sensors, our system enables real-time machine health monitoring by tracking 3-axis vibration, temperature, and acoustic (sound) patterns. This powers continuous predictive maintenance to detect issues like bearing wear, cavitation, and valve degradation early. If it rotates and its failure costs you money, Soralink can monitor it.
What are the different ways I can deploy Soralink?
We offer three main deployment paths:
Soralink Turnkey: Designed for critical assets where you want zero false alerts and expert human validation. Soralink’s Sora Care team provides comprehensive temperature, acoustic, and vibration analysis services to review every AI-generated predictive alert before your maintenance team is notified. This is the fully managed, end-to-end solution.
Soralink Self-Serve: Built for high-volume deployment on simpler assets, enabling predictive maintenance managed directly by your team. You receive real-time, AI-generated alerts through the Sora Insight dashboard. You can add Sora Care expert validation at any time.
Soralink Bridge: Ideal for facilities with existing third-party sensors, including Amazon Monitron hardware, that want to enable seamless remote equipment monitoring. It connects your multi-sensor data directly into Soralink’s AI intelligence layer without replacing your current hardware.
How easy is it to install?
Installation takes less than 5 minutes per sensor: our industrial sensors mount with industrial-grade double-sided adhesive and a proven surface-cleaning method. No wiring and no IT involvement are required. Your maintenance team can install sensors themselves.
How are the AI sensors connected?
Sensors connect to a Soralink Gateway via Bluetooth Low Energy. The gateway transmits all machine data monitoring signals to the cloud via a secure LTE (cellular) connection or Wi-Fi, depending on your facility’s preference. The LTE option uses a dedicated network and never touches your corporate infrastructure.
How scalable is the predictive maintenance solution?
Soralink is designed for scale. A single gateway can manage up to 40 industrial IoT sensors, and our backend is designed for thousands of sensors within one facility. Contact us to discuss the right gateway configuration for your floor plan.

Are there hidden costs?
No. Soralink delivers predictive maintenance for industrial operations through a transparent model: a one-time hardware cost (CAPEX) and a turnkey subscription. We have a network of partners across North America and Europe for installation services. Travel expenses may apply for on-site services depending on the product and location.
What is the minimum commitment?
The minimum trial or subscription period for integrated predictive maintenance is 6 months. This allows the system to fully baseline your machines — live dual-horizon forecasting activates at the start of Month 3 — and deliver measurable, verifiable value.
What is included in the subscription?
Every Soralink subscription includes the full data stream from your 3-axis vibration sensors — with acoustic and temperature monitoring — plus access to the Sora Insight dashboard, AI-driven daily analysis, 24/7 algorithm monitoring, cloud hosting, and data transmission. For turnkey plans, human expert validation (Sora Care) is also included. All subscriptions include 5 user dashboard licenses.
Technical Specifications
What is the difference between Sora Pro, Sora Lite, and Sora Classic?
Sora Pro is our premium, high-fidelity sensor for critical machines in any environment. It captures data every 1 or 10 minutes and is fully indoor/outdoor rated (IP68). Paired with Sora Care expert validation.
Sora Lite is optimized for high-volume deployments on routine, continuous-cycle assets. It features a 5-year battery life and IP68 rating, making it the ideal successor to Amazon Monitron. Self-managed by your team.
Sora Classic is designed for controlled indoor environments (IP54). It includes 4-channel GPIO support for deep integration with existing plant control systems and GPIO signals.
How long does the battery last?
- Sora Lite: Up to 5 years (primary battery)
- Sora Pro: Up to 2 years (primary battery)
- Sora Classic: Rechargeable battery with 1-year life (at 1-minute capture), or continuous power via 5V DC
Battery replacement management is included as part of your Sora Care subscription.
What do the sensors measure, and at what resolution?
All three sensor models share the same core sensing stack: a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer with a vibration range and bandwidth of 0.005 to 12 g, up to 4 KHz. Temperature is measured from -30 to 60 °C, alongside acoustic monitoring. Capturing vibration, temperature, and acoustic data together is what lets Sora Insight distinguish one developing fault from another, rather than only reporting that vibration is high.
How often do the sensors report data?
Capture frequency is configurable per sensor. Sora Lite collects data every 10 or 60 minutes — the hourly rate is what yields its 5-year battery life. Sora Pro and Sora Classic collect every 1 or 10 minutes, giving complex, variable-cycle machines finer resolution.
What temperature ranges does the hardware support?
Sora Pro and Sora Lite operate from -30 °C to +80 °C and are fully supported for outdoor use with a rugged IP68 rating. Sora Classic is intended for indoor use only (IP54), operating reliably in conditions up to 60 °C. Gateways operate between 0 and 40 °C, so a gateway belongs in a controlled space even where the sensors do not. Note that the range a sensor can measure (-30 to 60 °C) is separate from the ambient range it can operate in.
How far can a sensor be from its gateway?
Up to 80 m in direct line of sight, over Bluetooth Low Energy at 2.4 GHz. Connectivity problems are rare, even in refrigerated rooms with metal walls.
What gateway models are available, and how are they powered?
Two models, both operating between 0 and 40 °C:
- Wi-Fi model: a Fanstel BWG840F module with custom firmware and an ESP32 network module (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
- LTE model: a Fanstel BLG840F module with an external antenna and an nRF9160 network module supporting LTE Cat-M1/NB-IoT.
Both measure 25 × 60 × 60 mm, weigh 70 g, and run on 5.0 V / 1.0 A DC with an AC adapter included. The LTE model is the one to choose when you want the data path to stay off your corporate network entirely.
Can Soralink integrate with my existing systems?
Yes. Through Sora Bridge, Soralink ingests data from third-party sensors via MQTT, AMQP, and HTTPS, and connects directly to AWS IoT Core and Azure IoT Hub. Open APIs are available for integration with ERP and CMMS systems.
What certifications do your sensors have?
Soralink sensors are FCC and IC certified. Sora Pro and Sora Lite are rated IP68 (submersible), while Sora Classic is rated IP54 (indoor/splash-resistant).
How do you handle data security?
We use industry-standard encryption and a segmented connectivity infrastructure. Our LTE models use a dedicated cellular network entirely separate from your corporate network, ensuring your production data never flows through shared infrastructure.

Our headquarters is in the Greater Montreal Area — 9935 Chateauneuf, Suite 170, Brossard, QC, J4Z 3V4. We design and build our hardware and software locally in Canada.
