0. Required Materials

Degreaser - To clean the surface(s) and ensure strong adhesion

Paper Towels - To wipe and dry the equipment surface(s)

1. Determine the sensor placement depending on your machine

Gearbox and extended shaft

The following example of a gearbox and extended shaft shows sensor locations on the gearbox and pillar bearings Sensors mounted on gearbox and extended shaft

Electric Motor pump

The following example of an electric motor pump set shows sensor locations, with four positions: two on the motor and two on the pump. Sensors mounted on motors and two on the pump

The following example shows where you might mount sensors if your primary concern is the motor rather than the pump Sensors mounted on the motor

2. Prepare the surface(s)

Using paper towl and a degreaser, thoroughly clean the area where the sensor will be installed

Mounting surface wiped down with paper towels and a degreaser

3. Installation

Peel the tape from the bottom of the sensor and firmly press the sensor into the chosen position for 10 seconds. Protective layer on the tape is removed

Sensor is applied to the machinery
